Tree Plantation 13-10-2012 Details & Images

108 Fruit Bearing Trees were planted in 

SNEH School Baghmara.

DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM


  1. 200 people/students were present in the program.
  2. Duration 3 hrs. Total Man Hours = 200x3 = 600 Man Hours.
  3. Guava, Pomegranate, Lemon & Mango saplings were planted.
  4. Lion Rahul Purwar (Honable DC Deoghar, IAS) Graced the occasion and we are thankful for his ideas, support and encouragement.
  5. Five Visually Challenged Students planted trees with their own hands with support from participants.
  6. Every student made 1 trees his/her friend and gave personal name to their "Tree Friends". This has created an ever lasting bond and love between the Students and the Trees.
  7. Students also participated in a Drawing Competition for which Lion Purwar awarded 5 students for their outstanding paintings. Images from the drawing competition will be made available soon.
  8. We are thank full to all Ladies Members of Lions Club for their effort to make this program very successful. We expect your full support in our future programs.
  9. We are also thankful to SNEH, RedCross, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya for their support.
  10. We are specially thankful to Press for their coverage and bringing this activity in the knowledge of society.
  11. Special thanks to Donors for this program. A board showing their names has been put up in the Fruit Garden.
  12. Lions Club wishes to undertake even larger plantation driver of 1008 Plants Next Year and we welcome people who would like to join us in this cause.

ECONOMIC VALUE OF 108 FRUIT TREES Planted By Lions Club
  1. IF One trees provides Fruits worth Rs. 10000 Per year.
  2. Trees provide clean air, shade and shelter to wild life which improves surrounding.
  3. 108 Trees x Rs. 10,000 = Rs 10,80,000
  4. This means upon tree maturity (2 years approx) the plantation project would provide an economic benefit of Rs. 10 Lakh EVERY YEAR.
